Position Summary:

The Data Quality Manager ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of clinical data within our organization. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support data quality, enforcing data governance policies, and resolving data quality issues.

 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement strategies for ensuring the quality and accuracy of clinical data throughout its lifecycle.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess data quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce data governance policies and standards.
  • Define and maintain data quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of clinical data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or inconsistencies.
  • Work closely with data stewards and data owners to resolve data quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure that clinical data management practices comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations impacting data quality and make necessary adjustments.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in data collection, entry, and validation to enhance overall data quality.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data quality processes.
  • Provide training to staff involved in clinical data management to promote a culture of data quality awareness.
  • Develop educational materials and resources on data quality best practices.
  • Protect assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the organization.
  • Model CyncHealth’s values and Code of Conduct. Manage resources and business objectives in compliance with charter, policies, and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Management, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in clinical data management, data quality assurance, or a related role within the healthcare industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare data standards, terminology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and address data quality issues.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Health Information Management (CHIM) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
